Is a Yamaha YXZ1000R right for me?

In this weeks video my friend Ryan takes me out in his 2016 Yamaha YXZ1000R utv sxs. A couple months ago Ryan took me out for my first sxs experience in the dunes at Sand Lake, Oregon. I’ve always been interested in side by sides and recently I’ve wanted to buy one, so he’s just showing me all the fun that can be had.

Since my first experience in the Yamaha YXZ 1000R, I’ve been researching and reading about all the platforms available. I’ve read that the Yamaha yxz1000R isn’t “the best” for trail riding or rock crawling and more for rallying in the dunes. So this video was to show me the capabilities of the Yamaha yxz1000r in the woods on some trails rather then on the sand. We went to La Dee Flats just a few miles past Estacada, Oregon.

After taking the Yamaha 1000r side by side out in the woods on the trails, I think I REALLY LOVE it! It’s fully capable in all platforms, especially in the 2019 version where they made the transmission geared lower and better on trails. So I think that within the next few months, probably 3-4; I’ll be adding a Yamaha YXZ1000r to the channel! So stay tuned!

Incase anyone was wondering, Ryan’s SXS in the video is equipped with Weller Exhaust and tune. It also has transmission work, with a lower 1st gear made for trail riding.
